BUI has once again scooped the coveted Microsoft award for Identity and Security at the Microsoft Partner Summit 2010 awards gala held on 2 September 2010. This year the event returned to Sun City after two very successful events held at the ICC in Durban. BUI walked away with the award for Identity and Security for the 5th year running.

BUI Scoops Top Awards. For the sixth consecutive year BUI has been awarded Microsoft's Security Solutions Competency Award and the coveted Managing Director Award for 2009. The ceremony, held at the Durban International Conference Centre, is Microsoft's Annual Partner Summit whereby it honours local companies belonging to the Microsoft Partners Programme. BUI beat out industry leaders such as Business Connexion, Dimension Data, Faritec Holdings, GajimaAST and Intergr8 IT at the gala dinner.

On receiving this award, Ryan Roseveare, BUI's Managing Director commented, "Winning the Microsoft Security Competency Award four years running, shows BUI's strength in the Microsoft Security arena, particularly on the Microsoft platform. Over the last year BUI has done some complex Infrastructure Security projects for its clients. Security and value to our clients has always been our top focus and today we have reaped the benefits."

Most notably was the Microsoft MD's Award which was met with surprise and jubilation from the BUI Team, Ryan added, "Last year was our best year, both on revenue and profit. This demonstrates our tight alignment with Microsoft business and we will continue to drive Microsoft technology and solutions into existing as well as competitive environments."

BUI Wins Top Security Award 6 Years Running!
David Maskell and Ryan Roseveare had the honour to represent BUI at the annual Microsoft Partner Summit. The premier event for Microsoft partners was, as usual, a spectacular event. Microsoft goes all out to ensure that the partners, after a year's hard work, get rewarded with a great event which this year was held at the Durban International Conference Centre. This event also included opening and closing keynotes featuring esteemed speakers such as Tony Leon(Ex. DP Leader) and Steven Attenborough (Virgin Galactic).

A good time was had by all, but the main part of the event is the Partner Awards Dinner which was scheduled for the evening of the 7th of August. This year's spectacle was no let down, with acts such as Freshly Ground entertaining the attendees. However, the awards ceremony was the highlight of the event. Through stringent judging criteria, BUI were named as finalists in the following categories:

• Advanced Infrastructure Solutions
• Networking Solutions
• Security Solutions

BUI was then awarded with the Microsoft Security Competency Partner of the Year 2008 for the third year running! David Maskell went to receive the award which was handed over by Fernando da Souza, Acting Managing Director of Microsoft SA and Dr Cheick Diarra, Chairman of Microsoft Africa.
